In the 1st episode of That Dudecast, Ol Dude sets the stage for future episodes by providing listeners with a framework for seeing the way things are & gives a condensed version of his transition from La-la-lander to Awake, Aware, & Activated.
About Ol Dude
Ol Dude grew up in Southern Missouri, living as similarly unique a life as most others, until the fall of 2007, when his life plans would begin to change. Until then, Ol Dude was a ‘Blisstard in La-la-land’- content to view existence from the surface, while satisfying short-range desires.
Do what was needed as needed & blindly trust the process sums his method.
Life was full of fun when the bliss of ignorance held his attention, but a friend showed up with a documentary film that roused Ol Dude from delusion & going back to La-la-land was not an option.
The burden of knowing demanded his attention.
By The Grace of GOD, he had sense enough to pursue a better understanding of the way things are (Reality), but his perception of Reality was so debased by the impact of popular culture, that he really wasn’t quite sure what to look for.
After recognizing a serious error had been made, Ol Dude spent most of the next year in search of grounding & recalculating his objectives.
He could continue down the common path, handicapped by missteps leading into adulthood- steps that set him up for more traps ahead- or do something different. Be a slave in an untrustworthy System that purposely deceives The People, or take an unconventional & uncertain route in pursuit of the best life possible.
Sacrifices would be made either way!
SOME THINGS WOULD BE NEGLECTED.
WHAT WOULD BE GIVEN?
Family, Health (spiritual, mental, physical), Continued Education, Understanding Reality (the way things are), Career Pursuits, Wealth Acquisition, Social Contributions, or Leisure Experiences?
25 years were spent in La-la-land & life is short! 876,000 hours is 100 years!
Reeling & trying to find the psychological stability needed to find his place & purpose, Ol Dude asked GOD- “Show me what’s going on. Show me what I’m not seeing?”
From then forward his interests would begin to change. Attention once focused on trivial matters, shifted to the pursuit of understanding.
Road trips once accompanied by music became opportunities for listening & learning. Fictional accounts were replaced with documentaries & real, relevant information.
Reality was more worthwhile than fiction & the power of knowing would permanently change him.
A desire to know & the earliest discoveries after awakening led Ol Dude to his knees- “GOD, I don’t want to just live & die. I want to do something with my life that matters.” In a moment, his head expanded immensely, as if it were a large balloon, but nothing was there until the expansion contracted in an instant & a powerful impression from GOD remained-
“WRITE A BOOK. I HAVE GIVEN YOU THE TOOLS.”
In the decade to follow, Ol Dude aimed to pursue a seemingly normal life, but the burden of knowledge & awareness had ruined him for the ordinary. The hysteria of 2020 finally broke him of believing his life could be normal- he had to do more.
Realizing that no one was effectively addressing The Cause of Humanity’s descent meant Ol Dude’s burden & duty were one in the same.
Prove The Reality of GOD & legitimacy of JESUS CHRIST to make THE FOUNDATION OF REALITY known to Humanity.
That year he resigned from his teaching position to address family needs- then turned his attention to writing & preparing for what was to follow.
Ol Dude wanted to see Humanity thrive & knew there was only one way to see that happen.
“Social harmony is only possible when the dominant majority recognizes THE FOUNDATION OF REALITY, becomes consciously aware, & pursues Right Standing with GOD’S STANDARD.”
An Eccentric Convention
Ol Dude isn’t really a fan of titles, but he understands the purpose & importance of categorizing different types of people.
He says his feelings about titles are, “Partly because my ‘System’ credentials are relatively unimpressive,” [shrugging & smirking wryly], but, "also, because I’m really odd & difficult to label- there’s just not many people like me. Plus, a lot of times, people let titles have too much influence on the way they think. Titles can fuel pride & trap people in a mindset that is restricted by the parameters they believe they’re bound to. I’m not really interested in being defined or boxed in like that. I just want to do what is necessary to address the issues plaguing Humanity & influence people to level up, so the World can be a better & more harmonious place to live.”
According to him, Ol Dude is, “Just a dude who wanted to know what’s going on & cared enough to pursue understanding.”- an “Uncommon, common man”- & a “Refined Hillbilly, who’s at least 1/8 retarded, but smart enough to barely qualify for Mensa on a good day.”
To be serious though- labels are necessary to help encapsulate his uniqueness.
He’s a contemporary polymath & pro-polemicist who has examined a wide range of subjects to identify THE FOUNDATION OF REALITY & explain the importance of pursuing Right Standing with GOD’S STANDARD for behavior.
Aside from three semesters of college in South-Central Kansas, Ol Dude has lived his entire life in Southern Missouri- hardly an environment known for diversity. Thing is, “the foolishness of GOD is wiser than men.” GOD can foster diversity in a seemingly mundane environment- & that’s exactly what happened in the case of Ol Dude.
From a broken home & a dairy farm in rural Missouri, to a new marriage, a teenage stepmom, & being the only white boy in a black neighborhood, living next to his new Korean Grandma- the experiences that made Ol Dude, shaped him to fill an odd gap at a precarious point in History.
He’s a husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, & friend like millions of others, but by The Grace of GOD, he desired to know, pursued understanding, & persists after Right Standing with GOD, even as Human nature persists in resistance.
Hate him or love him- Ol Dude gets what’s going on & brings dynamic insight to The Culture War. His understanding & ability to communicate will fuel the fire of Liberty & help turn the tide, so The People can Unify at THE FOUNDATION OF REALITY, where they will take the steps necessary to enter a new Golden Age of awareness & achievement.
What got Ol Dude Started on his journey?
For the first twenty-five years of existence, I lived as similarly unique a life as anyone else, but in September of 2007, things would begin to change. I was in my final semester of college and a close friend brought a documentary film to my apartment that shook me enough to rouse my curiosity, but not enough to instantly break me free from the ways of the World- I’m stubborn.
Having realized something wasn’t right, I sought to learn more, but the impact of my stupor made investigation difficult. I wandered, searching for a starting point, but wouldn’t find one of relevance until hearing about Solomon- who many say was the wisest man to ever live. GOD offered him anything he wanted and Solomon asked for wisdom- so did I.
I asked GOD to reveal what I wasn’t seeing and to show me what was taking place in the World. I decided to determine if my greatly neglected Christian beliefs were the product of cultural indoctrination or something more. 100% willing to reject Christianity should the evidence prove to be insufficient, I began to investigate in search of TRUTH without fear- fueled by a genuine desire to know.
In March of 2009, the journey leading here officially began. One night, I felt inclined to enter my bedroom, turn off the light, kneel at the side of my bed, and pray- “GOD, I don’t want to just live and die. I want to do something with my life that matters.” In that moment, my head felt like a large, expanding balloon- it was empty. And then, in an instant, I felt a contraction, and a powerful impression from GOD remained- “WRITE A BOOK. I HAVE GIVEN YOU THE TOOLS.”
I instinctively knew what to write about, but had a lot to learn.
From that moment on I have sought to honor the Call.
